Wordle ‘word cloud’

Word cloud of Contacts A-Z pages

While redesigning the Contacts homepage this morning I was looking for a background image to make the heading “A-Z” look a little more interesting.

I searched iStockPhoto for a while with some success, but nothing quite worked.

Then I remembered Wordle, which is

a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text.

You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes.

The Wordle “word cloud” above is taken from a combination of all four Contacts A-Z pages (A-E, F-L, M-Q and R-Z).
